Meta Connect VR Conference: How to Watch
Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg is betting you'll be hearing the word "metaverse" a lot in the next few years, and his company's big virtual reality and augmented reality event Tuesday will be a big part of why.
This year, Zuckerberg is planning to show off his company's latest VR headset, a device designed for professional use rather than the somewhat popular $400 Meta Quest device for everyday consumers.
Meta is also likely to announce a series of new apps and partnerships, as it has in previous years when showing off new games and experiences meant to entice people to try its devices.
Zuckerberg may have other surprises up his sleeve. Last year, the company formerly known as Facebook surprised the tech world with its sudden rebranding.
The conference is scheduled to kick off Tuesday at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET
You can watch the conference live on facebook.
The social media giant is betting so much on the metaverse that last year it renamed itself Meta, after the virtual worlds where people can meet up with strangers, friends and family alike.
